Lasting Belgium Kompany Optimistic in Brazil

Manchester City and Belgium captain, Vincent Kompany, admitted his country had firmly believe that a great opportunity to be able to continue to survive long in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Belgium will face Algeria in their opening match of Group H (17/6). Although this is the country's first World Cup in 12 years, Kompany remains optimistic that he led the team would reap many positive moments.

"This is the first World Cup for most of us, but I've been with the players who were here for 10 years and we all know each other very well. We never again played in the World Cup for a long time and any that occurs will be remembered forever, "said Kompany told Sky Sports.

"We've known each other from a young team. There will be no conclusions can be drawn from the first game, but I have great ambitions and really want to fulfill the dream to achieve success," he concluded.

Kompany leads City into the Premier League last season.
